Overview
Twelve Yards is a free, offline penalty-shootout prediction game. It runs entirely on bundled, made-up content: there is no server, no account, no sign-in, and no internet connection required to play. This policy explains, plainly, what information the app touches and where it goes — which, in every case, is nowhere but your own device.
Information we collect
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Nothing you do inside Twelve Yards is sent to us or to anyone else. The table below lists everything the app stores, all of it kept exclusively on your device.
| Stored on-device | Purpose | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Shootout history & stand table | Remembers past results and rankings between launches | No |
| Taker notes & pinned takers | Your own scouting notes and favourites | No |
| Display name | Shown next to your row in the Stand screen | No |
| App settings | Sound, music, haptics, appearance, reminder preference | No |
| Stand badge photo | An optional personal photo shown on your Stand row | No |
Camera and photo library
Twelve Yards can use your camera or photo library for exactly one purpose: letting you set a personal badge photo that appears beside your name in the Stand screen.
- The camera is never opened automatically. The system camera permission prompt appears only the first time you choose to take a new badge photo, and the app respects whatever you choose.
- If you choose a photo from your library instead, the app uses Apple's built-in picker, which does not require any permission grant and never gives the app access to your full library.
- Any photo you choose is saved only on your device and is never uploaded anywhere.
Notifications
If you turn on the optional "Matchday reminder" in Settings, Twelve Yards asks for notification permission at that moment, not on launch. The reminder is generated and scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's local notification framework. No remote push service is used, and no data about you leaves the device to make this work.
In-app browser
The Learn section opens two fixed informational pages — the IFAB Laws of the Game and a responsible-play resource — inside the app itself, so you never have to leave Twelve Yards or lose your place. The app does not browse arbitrary websites and does not inject any tracking of its own into those pages.
Third parties, tracking, and advertising
Twelve Yards contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software development kits (SDKs) of any kind. The app does not track you across apps or websites, and no data is used for advertising purposes, inside or outside Twelve Yards.
No real-money gambling
Twelve Yards awards points only. There is no betting with real money, no deposits, no withdrawals, no in-app purchases of any currency, and nothing you can buy or cash out. Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for anything outside the app.
Children's privacy
Twelve Yards is not directed at children and is not designed, marketed, or intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because the app does not collect information at all.
Data retention and deletion
All app data lives in local app storage on your device. You can erase it at any time from Settings → Reset, or by deleting the app, which removes everything Twelve Yards has stored.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new "last updated" date above.
